So many young lives are needlessly lost to knife crime and sometimes teachers need more than words to educate. A very reflective mood in Derby this afternoon. Go and visit if you can, next to the cathedral, all October. #DerbyKnifeAngelpic.twitter.com/tn00c4MnNM
Trainees teachers-Tom Sherrington is always helping us out by writing some fantastic blogs. Here's one on retrieval practice to read following today's professional studies. Thank you @teacherheadtwitter.com/teacherhead/st…
Love the spaghetti challenge to get a professional studies session going. What was the learning objective? Great planning from our trainees and lots of fun watching the towers collapse! pic.twitter.com/552sPumjeH
Landau Forte College Derby is rated ‘Outstanding’ and has the leading Progress 8 and Attainment 8 results in the city at KS4 and KS5, particularly for disadvantaged students. Our staff work incredibly hard to support trainee teachers whilst making a difference to the outcomes of all the young people in our care and we are justifiably proud of our learning environment. We have a growing partnership of secondary schools across the local region where you may be placed to teach students in the age range of 11-16 years.
We are proud that 100% of the trainees who completed the course in 2018 found employment, the majority within the local area. Our former trainees have had successful career progression into middle leadership roles only a few years after gaining Qualified Teacher Status.
If you decide to begin your journey with us we will offer you opportunities which span your career and you will be able to join a range of professional development courses that we offer from the Landau Forte Teaching School Alliance.
